Connections | La Alma | Guatemalan Blend Program
 
Connections is a new series of coffees dedicated to access within talented farming families and communities who may otherwise not be able to share their coffees with specialty roasters. Through these connections, we have the fortune and opportunity to roast beautiful coffees that have a positive ripple effect on the communities that produce them.
 
Our first coffee of the series is from a collaborative of families in Guatemala, brought to us by Onyx Coffee. It’s clean, fruity, and bright. 
 
The communities that produce this coffee are able to sell their crop for rates that create a culture of sustainable long-term farming, experimentation, and coffee education to share with the next generation. 
 
For every pound of Alma sold, green, 5 cents goes directly to Habitat Guatemala to support their smokeless stove program. From the sales of the Alma 2021 crop, 42 families received new stoves in their homes.
